What does the slave archetype have to teach us about freedom?

I don’t see the word slave as a negative or positive word. The word itself is quite neutral. If we look at the word slave as an archetypal pattern, with a light and a shadow we can get more of the gift of the wound of this experience. The shadow side of the slave archetype is being a slave to a person, a thing, or even an idea but the light side of the slave archetype is being a slave to the divine spirit within. The slave archetype teaches us self mastery; it is how we find our freedom.

We will look at the things in your life that hold you back, that enslave you and see where more freedom is possible and can be reclaimed.
