Relationships are messy. At least I’m beginning to think the best ones are, sometimes they are the good kind of messy like ice cream dripping down your hand, or like laying in the warm mud on a rocky beach or maybe even lingering fire pit smoke in your hair kind of messy.
Relationships are messy. At least I’m beginning to think the best ones are, sometimes they are the bad kind of messy like not feeling seen or heard, or like disappointed to the point where you can’t think, or maybe even unbelievable grief where you can’t see through to the end kind of messy.
Relationships are messy. At least I’m beginning to think the best ones are because being human is messy. We aren’t all nice, neat and tidy. Not if we are honest…not even if we aren’t. As humans we are all of it, the good and the bad of it. When you put two humans together it’s messy, if it’s real.
