Know Yourself

Writer: QuanitaQuanita

When someone doesn’t know their own self my Black female self can seem like arrogance to them.

My love can look like lack of boundaries

My gift giving can look like approval seeking

My truth telling can look like harshness

My leadership can look like being bossy

The space I naturally take up can look like an inflated ego

My strength can look like dominance

My clarity can look single mindedness

My obedience to spirit can look like stubbornness

My standing up for myself can look like a lack of consideration for others

My soul gets lost in their trauma story. After all this is what the patriarchy was set up to do.

And in not seeing me they don’t have to claim and own their own projection stories in themselves.
