Day 14: Birthing Place

Birthing place

The nest has been carefully prepared

Holding me firmly, and cradling me softly

I feel the crack in the shell

I feel the pain of the first sight of light shining through

The news has spread far and wide

The community is showing up to shower me with their medicine

The winged ones, cranes, eagles, swans, ducks, magpies, turkeys, crows, and hawks

The four legged ones, chipmunks, deer, fox, pigs, moose, rabbit-squirrel (squirrels with rabbit like ears), and a donkey

The rooted ones, cedar, oak, maple, aspen, and pine

The Two legged loved ones, old friends and new

The crawling ones, spiders, and ladybugs

Others showed up too

Rainbow

Water

Stones

Earth

and Fire

And then another crack, this time the light warms me

beckons me to continue to stretch and grow

And another crack, now I can see through the cracks to the place of possibility

Waiting to emerge...
