Feeling Life

Updated: Mar 3

I haven’t been writing lately. I have been busy feeling life and healing what has needed to be healed in me.

Embracing the Journey of Healing

There is so much coming through right now. So many opportunities to experience breakdowns, both little and big. These moments give us access to release the grief that has been building for years. This can open doorways to all kinds of breakthroughs. To more feeling. To more joy. To more life. And I’m not talking about more doing, but about more being.

Those who know me understand that I am a deeply emotional person. I am a Water Spirit. I carry the water. I carry the medicine of forgiveness, reconciliation, bridge-building, peace-making, and emotions. Sometimes, people assume that because I am so emotional, I lack emotional intelligence. But that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The Power of Connection

What me feeling life looked like yesterday included a call with a team I have been working with in Minnesota for the past three years, training state employees. Here are a couple of things that moved me deeply and brought me to tears:

  • In my check-in, I shared about the monks who have been walking for peace. They are showing us what the divine masculine looks like in the face of tyranny. They show up with so much love, faith, and peace that people are transformed in their presence. They set off on their journey with just a plan to walk. They had their clothes and their backpacks. They have so much faith that the divine would provide, and it did in ways they could never have imagined. I want that kind of faith.

  • Someone shared that they were marching on Friday and witnessed a murder on Saturday by their own government. They are changed forever.

  • And last, this one I am still trying to wrap my brain around… I asked if there was a place we could send food. I am an Instacart kind of girl. We can send food to anyone. Their response was that they aren't giving out addresses because the helpers are being threatened. ICE is taking pictures of their license plates and targeting them. So, they write down information on little pieces of paper. If they are about to be caught, they can swallow the paper to avoid giving up any information.

A New Venture

What me feeling life looked like yesterday also included a call with a group of deep-hearted, wicked-smart humans from around the world. We are co-creating a new business designed for working with Fortune 500 companies to build healthier teams. They invited me to discern joining them in this venture. Within 20 minutes of our call, I had already fallen in love with them.

This world is awe-inspiring and tragic. If we aren't moved to tears at least once a day, we aren't truly feeling life.

The Choice of Transformation

This is who we are. It’s not new; it’s just more visible.

“Change is inevitable, growth is optional.”

-Jojopah Maria Nsoroma

The choice is yours. In a time when things are changing faster than ever before, which do you choose? This choice will make the difference. It has the power to move you from fear to love, from being stuck to inspired, from pain to joy, from isolation to community, from despair to hope, and from ordinary living to extraordinary living.

Which do you choose?

I wish you love, inspiration, joy, community, hope, and extraordinary living.

The Importance of Healing

Healing is a journey, not a destination. It requires patience and understanding. We must allow ourselves to feel the full spectrum of our emotions. This is how we grow.

When we embrace our feelings, we open ourselves to deeper connections with others. We learn to empathize and understand the struggles of those around us. This is essential for fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Finding Joy in the Everyday

Joy can be found in the simplest moments. A warm cup of tea, a gentle breeze, or a shared laugh can transform our day. When we cultivate gratitude for these small joys, we create a foundation for a more fulfilling life.

Take a moment to reflect on what brings you joy. Is it a hobby, a loved one, or a quiet moment of solitude? Whatever it is, cherish it. Let it fill your heart and guide you through challenging times.

Building Bridges

As we navigate our healing journey, we must also focus on building bridges. This means reaching out to others, sharing our stories, and creating spaces for deep connection.

When we connect with others, we foster understanding and compassion. We can bridge divides and create a more harmonious world. It starts with one conversation, one act of kindness, or one shared experience.

The Path Forward

The path forward is not always clear. There will be obstacles and challenges along the way. But remember, each step you take is a step toward healing and transformation. The monks share that each step they took was a prayer.

Embrace the journey. Trust in the process. You are not alone. We are all in this together, navigating the complexities of life, seeking connection, and striving for growth.

And once again, I wish you love, inspiration, joy, community, hope, and extraordinary living. Together, let’s continue to heal, grow, and connect more deeply.
